WHAT IS PRP? aka your own personal “Beauty Serum.”

PRP is a revolutionary new anti-wrinkle treatment using your own blood. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, commonly referred to as “Blood Therapy”, involves the use of blood plasma (containing a high level of platelets that have been separated from red and white blood cells), enriched through a special process to concentrate your plasma. This concentrated plasma contains platelets, bioactive proteins, and growth factors are beneficial to accelerate tissue repair and regeneration, and activate stem cells. The body has remarkable abilities to heal itself, platelets applied on top of freshly needled skin will actually migrate to the site of injury. The platelets will release a response to promote healing.

HOW IS IT PERFORMED?

After your skin is properly cleansed, a topical numbing cream is applied for at least 45 minutes. After numbing, the skin is sanitized and Phaz (a hyaluronic acid). Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the skin that has the ability to attract and hold vast amounts of moisture. It also provides the slip and glide needed for the procedure. We use the Collagen P.I.N., this electronic tool contains a sterile needle cartridge that holds 36 fine needles. As the cartridge glides across the skin, tiny pinholes are made in the skin causing pinpoint bleeding. After the needling is complete, the skin is wiped clean and PRP is applied on top of the freshly needled skin allowing for maximum absorption of the “Liquid Gold”. The PRP is not rinsed off for at least 5 hours. After the treatment is complete, “careful and thorough” post care instructions on how to care for your skin are discussed with you.

WHY INJECT PRP?

  • Are you noticing dark circles and puffiness under your eyes?
  • Are you seeing fine lines and sagging skin around the eye area?
  • Do you want the sunken or hollow under eye area volume replaced naturally?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, then PRP by injection (sometimes called PRFM) may be a good choice for you. PRP is mixed to create a fibrin matrix to restore facial volume and fill in lines.

PRP Scalp & Hair Restoration

Who is it for?

Anyone suffering from thinning and slow growing hair due to tension, hormonal changes, or other issues.

How is it performed?

The blood is drawn from the patient in the office. It is then put into the centrifuge and then the blood is spun down to a very pure and high concentration of platelets. Platelets are concentrated to three times the normal blood values. The highly rich plasma is then injected into the scalp. No sedation is needed for this treatment and you can drive home when the treatment is complete.

Why?

Rich platelet cells can cause growth of dormant or sleepy hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the hair follicle. Platelet cells promote healing and accelerate the degree of tissue regeneration, respond to injury and formation of new cellular growth. The purpose of PRP in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into the active growth phase.
